This is not America, a little piece of you, a little piece of you will die, for this is not America.
Promise not to stare too long, for this is not a miracle...

This is not America Part 2, was originally devised with and performed by third year students from the Contemporary Theatre and Performance degree at MMU Cheshire. Recreated over a two-day period in October 2008, the piece takes much of its form and content from the lyrics and titles of the David Bowie songs: Life on Mars, Heroes, and This is not America.

Mole Wetherell is the Artistic Director of Reckless Sleepers, who are currently based in Nottingham and Gent. This is not America part 2 initiates a series of new research projects under the three-year umbrella programme N-Tropy, a portion of which will be focussing on the creation of new works by recent graduates and young artists.
