Actually, this book/movie isn't even talking about the well-known French Revolution but of the June Rebellion (correct me on the name if i'm wrong). So it obviously wasn't as remembered as the wars you mentioned above. However, the "French Revolution" was an incredibly important war, and I believe not only to France. Also, by saying the revolution is "shitty" you are criticizing the men that died for their cause, which I think is not fair because I think their cause was very noble and brave.

And ironically enough then the American civil war was extremely insignificant to the rest of the World. It had no ever lasting effects.

But wars like the crimean war and the Denmark - Preausian war which had a huge inpact in europe, russia and osman empire, is barely remembered.

The french revolution sparked the beginning of the end of monarchy in the rest europe. Some Places by revolutions others more peacefully.

If not for the french revolution europe would look very different from today.
