Problems in Dark Knight Land! Hey guys, thanks for tuining into clevver movies, your number one source for movie news, Im your host, taitana carrier with the latest on the 'The Dark Knight Rises'...
.
So wahts the big problem? Well, Audiences Can't Understand Villain!!!! Sources say some at Warner Bros. want Christopher Nolan to change the sound mix in response to complaints that Bane's dialogue is hard to hear...all these complaints starting flooding in after the prologue bat fans got a chance to check out before Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol.
.
Despite the warm reception to the footage, Some audience members are upset that they can't understand what Bane, the main villain in the final installment of the Christopher Nolan-helmed trilogy, is saying. For those of you who don't know... Bane is a bad guy whose super-strength comes from a drug that he continuously inhales. In the prologue, the character, played by British actor Tom Hardy, is seen with a mask that covers his nose and mouth; his speech is garbled and muffled.
.
So what are the fans saying? Well one took to twitter and said, "A fantastic action sequence hurt by the fact that you cannot understand the villain at all," ... Others poked fun at the seven-minute prologue. "The Dark Knight Rises prologue was really great, especially when Bane spoke the soon-to-be-classic line...then typed a bunch of jibberish.
But let's really take in to consideration a few things here. It's easy to jump on the "I can't understand a Batman character" band wagon. But let's look at this a bit closer. The prologue takes place on an airplane in a very intense scene, now at times it is difficult to understand what Bane is saying, but not all of it is lost. And in the newest trailer, Bane has a line, which yes muffled, but CAN be understood. Perhaps, it's not as bad as people are making it out to be at first glance.
.
Warner Brothers says that Nolan MAY alter the voice just a tad, but not much...what do you think? Do you thik Nolan should take the complaints seriously and chance the muffled voice to be more coherent? Orrrr do you think he should stick to his initial vision for bane? • People complained about Batman's voice in The Dark Knight, but Nolan didn't do anything so STFU PEOPLE!!!

  • I think we should leave the creative ideas to Nolan. I mean after Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Prestige, and Inception I think Nolan knows what is best for his movies and the fans.

  • I personally liked batman's voice in The Dark Knight. It added to the feel that the Bruce and the batman are two completely different personas, something he has to do in order to protect his identity and remain protected. I trust that Nolan will make Bane's voice perfectly audible and understandable anyway, it's not like they've finished editing!

  • BANE is prefect

  • Guys, I'm Brazilian my english just sucks... and I could understand what Bane said. Just pay more atention when watching the movie...

  • I have to admit its kinda hard to understand, but I loved bane's voice, its so cool and menacing, especailly when he says : "It doesnt matter who we are what matters is our plan" bad "Of course!!", so cool, I wouldnt like that nolan would change it, i think its great just the way it is

  • Lol these comments are hilarious!!!....on the trailer bane said "when gotham turns to ashes...you have my permission to die"....and it took me about 50 times to watch it over and over to understand and I still think Im leaving words out lmao...this is the last movie by nolan it has to be perfect...i think he should adjust something

  • Doesn't matter to me. In Norway theres a little something called subtitles, so even if I don't hear what Bane is saying, theres alway the subtitle. xD
