EcoCAR Challenge Participant from Burnt Hills, NY

TORONTO -- A Burnt Hills native and Georgia Tech University PhD candidate is taking the wheel when it comes to building a more fuel-efficient car.

Ryan Melsert is in Toronto, Canada with his team of fellow Georgia Tech students for the EcoCAR challenge.

It's a three-year-long competition that began last fall. The goal is to build the most eco-friendly car, but as Melsert tells us, when it comes to rating the cars, the judges gauge more than just gas mileage.
