@rockerrachael654 my mom liven in New Orleans once... when she was a kid... and, there's some funny stories about the lady at the corner, who was/ia apperantly the most up-tight person on earth, if even a BUG, lands on her lawn, she slams open the door and yelled at it to get off her lawn... (same with rain probably). XD My aunt (on my dad's side) plays some tunes like that, in a jazzy way. I can't though, and neither can my grandma. XD

Hey great improv! I'm the school pianist (I play the piano and people sing hyms along with it), and we got a few guest from overseas coming in to listen. We thought we could do something special for them, namely me playing When the Saints Go Marching In. I would like to play it in a very jazzy style, but I can't play it like you cause the people who are singing would probably get lost halfway through the song, the main riff should still be there. Any tips on what I can do? Thank you so much!

Try giving it a bassline or some defined rhythm pattern that appeals to you. As long as you keep tempo and the melody and harmony (if there are parts) the singers shouldn't get lost. Thanks!
