Born in the Amazonian town of Manaus in 1951, Vinicius Cantuaria has helped redefine bossa nova. Vinicius first worked with Gilberto Gil and CaetanoVeloso, and then in the Nineties plunged into a solo career that included collaborations with Laurie Anderson, Brian Eno, David Byrne and Arto Lindsay.
