Yeah I know it got downgraded to a tropical storm but when it first hit us I'm pretty sure it was still a hurricane. Anyways, just some footage of the aftermath shot around New Milford, CT.

  • Don't wade in flood water in "civilized" areas. There's all kinds of crap in that water including pesticides and herbicides from lawns. If cars are underwater there's gas and oil in the mix.

Yeah haha in hindsight I thought about everything that was in that water and got kind of grossed out

I especially regretted it after witnessing the porta potty submerged haha

  • This is almost as much flooding as the one we had in the late '70s when an ice dam formed in the Housatonic, blocking much of the flow and causing it to overflow it's banks. I remember seeing only the very top of the phone booth sticking out of the water at Southworth's near the traffic circle. The flood was all the way up rt 7 to McDonald's, which was quite a bit worse than this.

The real damage happened in Windham, NY and other areas inland.

  • oh yeah the water was right up almost to the mcdonalds and pettibone school was half submerged

  • haha you kids think that water is high i remember in the early 80's that bridge at youngs field had water flowing over it, oh yeah and the trailer that sat behind the liquor store across from the state garage i think thats a storage place now ended up two miles down river

  • good footage ..i was wondering how errrythang was in CT .. and as usual N.M. is flooded from McD's too Youngsfield ect .. no shocker , but some of the other locations , WOW ..
