( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Volkswagen Passat Turbo Diesel TDI is the only front wheel drive mid-sized sedan with a diesel engine and a dual clutch gearbox that you can buy in America. In other words, it has no direct competition. The 2012 Nissan Altima has been around for a while. Nissan gave the car a 2.5 liter engine mated to a CVT transmission to help improve gas mileage. While it also competes in the mid-sized sedan class, it due to be replaced this year. So of course the obvious TFLcar question is which one of these cars is after to 60 MPH. Watch the video to find out.

  • As a professional car review channel, I strongly recommend you guys buying an V-box..I mean come on, we need some serious scientific number, not the number comes from an iphone...

  • @bryanchen23 Thanks for the comments but might we respectfully recommend Motorweek if you want hard numbers. There are soooooo many places you can get the exact numbers but only TFL if you want to see Nathan in the trunk of a 2012 Passat.

  • The Subaru Legacy with the CVT would be interesting to see up against the Altima.

  • Diesel fuel spilled on your clothes or hands ain"t so great.

  • @gilldoom Yeah, I think their coming with a new one by September 2012

  • Why is it when I want to see a normal Passat 0-60, there only seems to be the damn Diesel one. I hate DIesel cars? I'll Neeeeever buy one!

  • @davewhodavedunn yeah, I subscribed a lot of car review channels and found none of them using an iphone to test cars' acceleration. Personally I think both Roman and Nathan are good car reviewers and TFL is a good channel. but the thing is they are testing an iphone app instead of testing the CAR. every time they put an iphone in front the screen I just like "Seriously?!". I dont really that care about the hard numbers but an iphone is not accurately at all. Be respectful to viewers like us!

  • This is just a test of the iPhone App - which is completely innacurate !! very poor

  • @romanmicagearguy ugh really? come on, no one cares about him in the trunk. it's old and lame. Come on guys get serious.

  • @bryanchen23 well said. These guys have the potential to make good videos but they seem not to listen to the comments. They make the videos on the cuff and blab about the obvious. They need to be more serious like stevehammes and drivencarreviews. They have the potenial but they do not listen to the people!

  • Passat never makes it in 9 sec. That App is crap. You should report a exect spec.

  • Love the funky review style but u guys def need a vbox!!
