Roberto Diaz is not a great violist, he has a very tight and aggressive sound, plus a little dirty, its tuning is not perfect. You can not compare even with Cynthia Phelps of New York PH., she did is an example of great soloist and principal.

And on the right, next to Yo Yo is Paul Roby, and later, Yumi Scott...had the pleasure of playing next to each. A humbling learning experience!

@landolfiviolin1 Unfortunately, he left the position in 2006 to be head of The Curtis Institute. The viola section is still quite excellent, but there is only one Roberto Diaz!
