A simple little song about people being freaked out by a little bit of genuineness. It sounds melancholy, but it's meant to be pensive and a bit frustrated.

Basic Lyrics:
I am complete unadornment
Turn your back on me before you are afraid.
I am utter sincerity turn away. Turn away.

I wish I kept braids in my hair then I'd
Cover up so much, all of me.
Tie me down. Instead of flowing free
Tie me back down to the earth.

I am complete unadornment
Don't you look at me when I cry.
Forget what I said. Forget all of me
Because in five minutes it might be a lie.
In just a few minutes I'll tell you I'm fine.
Turn away. Turn away.

What you see is what's recorded (ie I'm not dubbing myself) I just added some reverb in Garageband.

In other news, I'm working on a new official name for my...musician self. Think of it as a stage name. So my temporary name of "ningyo" might not be around much longer.

  • When I was about 15 years old I found myself checking out a fast growing popular site called YouTube. I came across this video and was inspired to make videos of my own. It's 3 years later, I have over 4,000 subscribers, and am close to succeeding in my music career. It's all thanks to this woman right here.

Thank you, you helped me find myself.

  • @JennaAnne1026 You are incredibly talented, that is why you are succeeding. Glad to be a little part of it and congrats on your success! <3

  • I stopped when I heard the line, "tie me back down to the earth". It's from Dance dance dance, the Haruki Murakami book, isn't it? It's one of the most compelling books I've ever read and it's great, feeling the same way when I hear this song.

  • @PaperKatana Thank you so much (belatedly) I haven't read that one, which is crazy because I have read two by him. I wrote this song years before I would ever know the name of Haruki Murakami, but now I'll have to read it since we share the same lines!

  • Does anybody know what became of this wonderful girl?

This song is world class excellence and I cant stop thinking about it for ages now.

  • Oh dear, where have you gone? This song is so unique, it screams with your signature trait of not being afraid of who you are and just sharing that with the world, thank you so much!
