PeTA-Ethical?

PeTA has a nasty history of offending people, all in the name of animals. They compare cattle to black slaves, and chickens to Jews. These groups have worked hard to end the comparison between them and animals, and PeTA has completely ignored it. Apparently a cow is more important than the 6 million people killed in the Holocaust.

Im not in favour or against this asotation but ithink this video doesnt show anything wrong about peta cause those images are a good comparation cause human had treath other races or species as inferior thinking that they were the best and its the same that human is doing with animals, thinking that they are superiors and the exclavize and kill animals as they did in germany, as they do in africa....and thousands countries the same that with thousand differents kinds of animals.

@loconchis Basically it boils down to species. We, just like every other species, prefer to put our own ahead of others, even if we don't need to.

However, the point of this video is that PeTA is likening jewish people and black people to animals, something they've been trying to avoid for years. It's insulting to them. If you want to advocate it, great, but please don't do it at other people's expense (not saying you personally, but in general)

I think that for radical animal rights activists who believe that the value an animal's life is equal to a human's it's hypocritical to compare the exploitation of animals to the Holocaust. From their standpoint, it should be offensive to the animals. The animals are innocent victims, while the people killed in the Holocaust were meat-eaters, thus murderers themselves. Some murderers kill other murderers, so what? The whole affair is basically insignificant.

PETA's ads cause offence because they advocate their fundamental belief that humans and animals are equals.

This doctrine is a response to the 'speciesism' that is inherent within western society- the pre-supposed belief that we are BETTER than other species.

If you take a step back and abandon any beliefs of human supremacy, it is hard to see any moral distinction between atrocities such as the holocaust and the meat industry in its modern incarnation.

There was no work camps in Auschwitz, so no work was done there, the biggest camp,

prisoners were not well fed, -cows are usually well fed.

-killed, but not sold for meat, as cows are and dairy cows give milk, a commodity for most of their lives.The only correlation I can see is both were locked behind fences. How do you round up the cows for milking if they are all over the place?

I am just trying to understand this easy correlation for peta members to make and state over and over....

i don't like hwo PETA is twisting their ways about saving animals by killing htem, and using past terrors to change peoples mind emotionally to their side plus there are a bunch of thing about what they say like how no one has the right to kill o.e then that means not even animals can kill other animals. ill stick with survival of the fittist
