This unique Birds-Eye Maple bodied "Custom 1962" 'Hard-Tail' Stratocaster was specially built by master luthier John English at the Fender Custom Shop in February 1995. This highly unusual guitar weighs just 7.80 lbs. and has a fat nut width of just under 1 3/4 inches, a wonderful medium-to-thick neck profile (similar to a '55) and a scale length of 25 1/2 inches. Highly figured Birds-Eye maple neck with triple-bound slab ebony fretboard with 21 medium frets, inlaid abalone shell block position markers and abalone side dot markers. Three staggered-pole Strat pickups with outputs of 6.03k, 5.98k, and 6.69k. All hardware gold-plated. One of the prettiest Strats ever built. Mint in the original Fender tweed hardshell case.

I wish my beer was as cold as your heart solo :)

  • Fender should really consider reissuing John English strats/teles. Now, who is the son of a bitch that bought this? Lucky bastard. I'd sell my house to buy this from them!

  • I wonder if it's the huge neck that makes it beefy. The ebony, maple top, ash body, single coils, pretty much everything about this guitar lends itself to an extremely bright sound in modern conventions.

  • Custom fuck shop?

  • "custom fuck shop..uhh..."

  • this one sounds to much beefier than any other strats.

  • What is the price of this masterpiece?

  • All of my guitars are made at the custom fuckshop. Thanks for asking!

  • This guitar is amazing! RIP John English :(

  • fattest strat...ever? haha

  • Wow you can really hear how the maple and ebony really don't have a lot of give to them. Very immediate attack sound (if that makes sense)

"Look at that. That's art!" Yeah. it is.

  • @tomseventyr Lol that's what he actually said xD
