Take the Long Way Home is another timeless classic from Supertramp co-founder, Roger Hodgson. This song is amazing whether Roger is performing it solo, with band, or with orchestra. He is a master composer, singer, and songwriter. Roger is the composer and signature voice of many of the hits such as Give a Little Bit, The Logical Song, Dreamer, and Breakfast in America, School, and Fool's Overture to name a few.

"Take the Long Way Home" was a song that I wrote, actually, during or right before we went into the studio to record the album "Breakfast in America." It was a last-minute surprise for me. It's on two levels - on one level I'm talking about not wanting to go home to the wife, take the long way home because she treats you like part of the furniture, but there's a deeper level to the song, too. I really believe we all want to find our true home, find that place in us where we feel at home, and to me, home is in the heart. And when we're in touch with our heart and we're living our life from our heart, then we do feel like we found our home." ~ Roger Hodgson

"Wow, wow, wow. I just returned from seeing your show which was the highlight of my whole concert-going life. From the opening chord of 'Take the Long Way Home' you brought tears to my eyes. They flooded again with 'Fool's Overture' and 'Give a little bit'. Roger, your music transcends time. Your ethereal voice, magical musicianship, and meaningful lyrics touches my soul. You are blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful musicians who understand brilliantly your music. Thank you again for an experience that will always be with me. Your smile on stage says it all."
