  • Canadians, What do you think about this here

    watch?v=N2MgoO7hYDA 1:36 Is where O'Reilly mentions WW1 & 2

Its a fox news interview with Rudyard Griffiths about tensions between Canada and The States.

I'm personally appalled at Griffiths reaction when O'rilley spits out that generic superior deluded horseshit about WW1 & 2. He had a prime opportunity to put that bastard strait on US television, but he didn't.

No wonder US citizens are so self assured when their schooled in a society of BS.

  • @jonlscott

Um, considering the US didn't enter combat in WW1 until May of 1917, it was a damn bit hard for them to be involved in the battle.

  • The American could not have failed to take the ridge. The Americans declared war on April 2nd, 1917. This battle started on April 9th.

  • Sure Canada was a great fighting force, but they simply can not take all the credit for taking Vimy. There was 1 Battalion of British troops fighting along side them, and virtually all the Artillery support was provided by the Royal Artillery. Facts my friends.

  • @jonlscott Not to take anything away from the Canadians at Vimy Ridge but American troops never tried to take it. The ridge was part of the battle of Arras, 9-12 April, 1917. The U.S. declared war on Germany on 6 April 1917, three days before the battle began. The first U.S. troops went into the line in late October 1917 (1st Div near Nancy).

  • @omgwaffels96 Firstly Canada became a independent self governing dominion of the British Empire on 1 July 1867 when the British North America act was enacted in parliament.

Secondly the AEF didn't see front line action until March 1918.

Thirdly the Canadian Corps from day one was an independent corps apart from the BEF.

Fourthly during the Seven Years War there were 15 British Colonies.

Lastly the official name of the war you mentioned is as I named it above, the Seven Years War.

  • @jonlscott The US did not declare war, thus enter the war until 6 April 1917, just 3 days before the Battle of Vimy Ridge started. US troops did not see any combat operations until 26 March 1918. Only the French & British tried & failed at taking the ridge before the Canadians took it on their own.

  • @jonlscott Um, I don't think the Americans were involved in Vimy Ridge. They has just barely entered the war by then and had no troops in Europe yet.

  • @MAnnaconduit1 garbage
