@hgm321 While Iran became more strict Islamically under Khomeini, absolute poverty rose by nearly 45% during the first 6 years of his rule.Emigration from Iran also developed, reportedly for the first time in the country's history. Since the revolution, an estimated "two to four million entrepreneurs, professionals, technicians, and skilled craftspeople (and their capital)" have emigrated to other countries. (This studying you've suggested is a good idea!)

@hgm321 Khomeini adamantly opposed the provisional government of Shapour Bakhtiar, promising ""I shall kick their teeth in. I appoint the government. I appoint the government by support of this nation." On 11 February, Khomeini appointed his own competing interim prime minister, Mehdi Bazargan, demanding, "since I have appointed him, he must be obeyed." It was "God's government," he warned, disobodience against him or Bazargan was considered a "revolt against God." How's that for study?

@vashna3799 yes he brought democracy..there are elections, there is a parliament and the system does have checks and balances...maybe you should study their government before talking. Its the only legitimate democracy in the middle east. I am a sunni Muslim and an honors political science grad from the U.S. trust me when I say this system is the most democratic in the middle east.

He seized power by force and the only things be brought to Iran was a fundalmentalist fanatical worship to a dark ages religion , what about health and education ? did nothing , poverty? increased like never before under his theocratic rule , women's rights ? forget about it .
