I first heard about Johnny Coppin when he brought out the Edge of day album, where he set some Laurie lee poems to music. It is really a beautiful album

A brilliant song. I remember Johhny singing this at the Bermuda Folk club back in early 80s. He told me the year before that he was working on putting some old Glos poetry to music and I thought "How bloody boring". he gave me a copy of Forest & Vale later that year and the album became one of my favourites of all time - still is. Thanks Johhny!

How the hell has he been going for so long, producing so much top class material & remain so little heard of except in "our world"!
