How to hook up a dishwasher water line, will complete your install. Make sure you don't do "this" when attaching the water line to the dishwasher. Did you remember to do "this" after completing the waterline connection to the dishwasher? If "joe" can hook up a water line to a dishwasher....so can you!

  • i think you are creating a cross connection, guaranted

  • @henrym02 Not sure what you mean by your comment re: cross connection. The nut went on fine & I had no leaks when done. If you're referring to the ice maker connection I was talking about, when I replaced the line with a new one, it was fine....as I didn't over tighten it. Let me know what you were referring to...for the benefit of the viewers who choose to read these comments. Thank you. Joe :0

  • @VideoJoeKnows Hi Joe, Cross conection is a direct arrangement of a piping line wich allows the potable water supply to be connected to a line wich contains a contaminant, in a nutshell provisions have to be made to avoid this, water company wants water delivered to our houses , we do not want that same used water back to the city system, , personally i like the idea of an atmospheric vacuum breaker for your application.

  • @henrym02 Thanks for your detailed explanation. There is no cross connection here though, as the only water that comes into the property, is drinkable water. Your idea is great for those which have 2 water supplies coming into their property/home. Have a great evening. Joe :0

  • @MysticKnight38 Of course I used teflon tape.....see the white stuff around the pipe threads before I attached the water line? It's always good to have around. Thanks for commenting. Joe :0

  • Did you use Teflon tape?
