I did this in '05, was insane fun. Marcos was very down to earth and he was more than happy to stand around and share a love with us. Far from being arrogant, he was actually one of the most accommodating drivers I've met, up there with John Bowe and Max Wilson.
As for the car, Marcos explained to us that it was indeed an AU that had been driven by John Falk in the GT Production series. If I recall correctly, it was a TE50, before being modified by the V8 Superschool.

Yep! Only thing is, after you've done it once, you REALLY wanna do it again! I'm really disappointed my video camera cut out: about 2/3 of the way through he turned around and gave me a thumbs up...."what do you reckon?"...while doing like 200kph hahaha...
Hotlaps with Lowndesy is next on my list!

I've never actually met him although I came so close at Phillip Island in 2005 before he went over to America. What's he like? does he treat you like your a real person and not just an over zealous fan? I've heard a few comments like he's arrrogent and aggressive but I find that hard to believe.

I was there as part of the media, covering the unveiling of some new cars to be used at that training centre. He was very down-to-earth and really nice & polite, and lots of fun - although to be honest I got the impression that he had burnt some bridges in the V8s, which is a shame. Still, my experience of him was really nice, it was definitely a realllllly great day! Totally want to do it again!
