Title song from the 1989 EP Suicide Kings. Found this rare album unopened in the bargain bin at Starship Records (Tulsa, OK) for $5. Great band that unfortunately never made it big, the Bassist Sven Pipien later went on to join the Black Crowes.

  • I have this EP also. After listening to it again I dug up an old bootleg tape I stole from my sister of an old "Live at the Wreck" radio show they did. I love it just like I did back when I pocketed it from her. Now I have to find the Museum album I stored somewhere. I hope I didn't lose it cause I really really want to hear it...NOW!

  • @MustangAmericana If you ever make a digital copy of that tape, I'd love to hear it ;)

  • i saw mary my hope support the fields of the nephilim at bristol studio (may 1989). they blew me away that night. i bought the LP as soon as it was released but i don't know what happened to it - a classic LP in my opinion. loved every track.

  • @midnightcandle That's awesome!

  • No problem! I am hunting everywhere for their LP album.

  • Mary My Hope is the greatest band nobody has heard of...love these guys. I have a couple of their songs fromm Museum posted and a couple from James Hall's solo career. These guys should have been big...

  • Best song on the Museum album. Also, check out "I'm not alone", and "Death of me"...

  • If U2 and Bowie had a baby it would sound like this.

  • I remember hearing this song one Saturday evening and it completely blew me away. I had to get the album straight away. At that time everyone was listening to Def Leppard and god knows what and this was just so different and went straight to ones gut. Full of pain/Weltschmerz. Excellent. As someone said, if it had come out in 1991 it would have been a hit, The rest of album was not great, but this one song is one of the best songs ever written. it still touches my inner core.

  • I fond out about this band from a friend who had a promo cassette copy of this from when she worked at Tower Records. Around that time I found a copy of the Museum CD...signed by all band members no less. About a year ago I found excellent copies of this and Museum at a thrift shop in PG County MD.

  • A greatly underrated band that came out during the height of butt rock. If they had released Museum only a few years later when Grunge hit it big, I am sure they would have had greater success.

  • @whitejellyfungus The singer had a new band going for awhile, Pleasure Club.
