Sad to know that Kilgallen here likely knew the answers to the JFK assassination. A near half century later, we're still trying to find out what she knew.
And anyone telling me that the answer was 'Oswald did it' can fuck themselves up a burning tree of rotten gorilla shit.

There is no evidence Dorothy Kilgallen gave her Oswald / Ruby - related documents to a friend. The publisher of a small Texas newspaper that did not publish every day, Penn Jones, started the rumor. Many people who repeat it don't know who Mr. Jones was. He identified "Mrs. Earl T. Smith" as the friend.
Many people who repeat the rumor don't know the woman's name: Florence Pritchett Smith. She used "Pritchett" in the byline for her column about food. She was bedridden for months.

Dorothy Kilgallen interviewed Jack Ruby for 8 minutes . She gave her interviewed to a friend , if something ever happen to her. She was found dead sitting up in her night clothes with all her make-up on . Also holding a book that her housekeeper said she had finished already . The lady that had the interview of Jack Ruby , the copies, also died 3 days after Dorothy Kilgallen.
4:34 -- Dorothy starred in WML since Feb 1950, nearly 16 years at this point. Notice that she still loves to win the game. Notice also that the camera captures her busily scribbling her notes, so if she is loaded on drugs, she is nonetheless doing very well.
RE: the Norma question. Over the years, some have claimed Dorothy must have been hallucinating that Marilyn Monroe was still alive. Well, maybe. Peggy Lee was performing in New York, though, and her real first name was Norma.

Agreed! Dorothy Kilgallen alone was a world-renowned journalist before turning socialite/star - a woman who charmed Hitler's henchmen, showed her mettle against men like Bruno Hauptmann and Jack Ruby, and was lavished with praise by notables such as Amelia Earhardt & Eleanor Roosevelt. Not to mention Arlene Francis & Bennett Cerf...
