  • @esb84 Yes, it is ironic. I don't argue that.

  • @1BEZERKO

Im sure there are more pressing concerns, I just thought it was ironic that a black civil rights advocate was speaking at a dinner named after the leader of the conservative coalition who orchestrated the filibuster against the civil rights bill...if you don't see anything ironic about that then fine, thats your opinion.

  • @esb84 It's an anual Georgia Association of Democratic County Chairs (GADCC) event to honor prominent Democrats and to raise money for the GADCC. The GADCC is an organization made up of county Democratic Party chairs and vice chairs in the state's 159 counties to support them. Roads and bridges and organizations named after are all over the place. Georgia Democrats already have too many things to worry about, there are more pressing concerns.

  • @esb84 I was wondering the same thing as you when I saw this. Maybe this dinner started out as dixiecrat and didn't go to the republicans as the dixiecrats did.

  • why's he speaking at the Richard Russell dinner!? Russell was one of the biggest segregationist!!
