Estimated speed by counting frames and measuring the distance traveled (note the tape on the street, 25ft between the small and large strips of it), the camera records 30 frames per sec, the buggy covered the distance in 10-13 frames so that works out to be about 60-70 feet per second (I am approximating). With an estimate of 60 ft per second you can multiply by 60 seconds (3600 feet per min), then multiply by 60 min (216000 feet per hour) last you divide by the number of feet in a mile, 5280ft that gives you 40.9 mph. If anyone notices a flaw in my math, please tell me! Motor is ez run 4000kv 8.5 turn w/ 60 amp esc. I know the fillming is less than perfect, but my eight year old daughter likes to do it so dont pick on her ok!

  • not close to 40 my revo is 2x as fast and it does 40

  • i think that was more like 20 or 30 mph the battery was probally low thow nice speed runs

  • i don't think that's 40mph, you probably just did your math on a full charge, and shot this video, when the battery was dying. Right?

  • Actually your math maybe close. I've reached 43mph on a 5000mah 2s on the stock 3300kv motor and 60a EZ Run ESC. After lowering and weighting the front I've managed 54mph with a 4000mah 3s lipo. You can find a video of it here on youtube with a bushnell radar gun to prove it. Exceed Sunfire.
