Does he only use Activ-L implants? How are you doing now?
I had a cervical disc replacement. Had an overnight stay at the hospital and stopped for Indian food on the way home the next day. I knew immediately after surgery that it was different. Beforehand I took pain meds like cheerios. Hated it. One month after surgery I was on the volleyball court. 2 years later, I forgot it was ever a problem.

Heather, now that's it's been some months since your surgery, can you post a reply commenting on your rehab progress and in your case, are you now, 80,90, or 100% back to where where you want to be. Also, are you pretty much pain free now? We're considering ADR in Germany and are most interested in your experience. Thank you very much.

Heather, I live in Bridge City TX. and have been researching ARD for my husband Sidney who has suffered from herniated discs for about 30 years. I would be so thankful if you could contact me. We are recently retired and would like to travel, but my husband can't sit for any length of time. Our activities are very limited. At church, he has to stand in the back. We will go see Dr. Lo tomorrow for the results of the MRI and nerve test . He's already suggested fusion. Please respond soon. Thanks

I have a question for you. I have a eerily similar situation to yours. I am 28 and have 2 herniated discs L4-S1. I have been researching the ADR for the past several days. I was wondering if you could tell me how long the process took from contacting Dr. B to actually having the surgery. Also, what was the overall cost? Thanks for your help.
Prof. Dr. Bertagnoli uses a variety of implants. Patient has resumed normal life.

After the data is collected images (MRIs, CTs, etc.) it takes from 1 - 6 days to get a diagnosis, treatment plan and cost estimate. In the summer it takes from 6 - 8 weeks to get a surgery date, unless it is an emergency case.
