  • Glad this is back on you tube ! I feel this recording by Mr Krystian Zimerman is the most expertly done opening of any of all the numerous ( many ) recordings I've listened to of various Pianoforte Virtuosi - the dynamic gradation in / of the opening measures ( bars ) is so skilfully and powerfully done ! Well done ... and of course , the remainder of the performance is exquisitely done from both Musical & technical viewpoints . A real gem of a Concerto performance / recording . Thank you .

  • THE MUSIC ( PIANO ) ACTUALLY STARTS ( COMES IN ) AT JUST AFTER 00:16 seconds

  • Great..

  • EPIC

  • If Rachmaninov had this concerto 'playing' in his, this is how it would sound.

  • As a musician, I really shouldn't say this, but this recording is just "perfect". Period.

  • Zimerman's timing simply sparkles.

Even at 7:33 - a segment of this particular piece where I hear many other performers miscommunicate with the conductor, or feels forced - the rhythm is flawlessly in sync and effortless.

  • Where's the 1st Piano Concerto????

    Please someone upload it!

  • THANK YOU!

  • 07:14 absolutely phenomenal.
