In my opinion, the Bose Companion 5s are the best speakers out there for computer use. Here is the description from http://www.bose.com ::

Our premium three-piece computer sound system delivers multichannel sound that seems to surround you—without the clutter of five speakers. The Companion 5 multimedia speaker system is designed for 5.1-encoded music, games and movies, using just two elegant desktop speakers and a hideaway Acoustimass module. And setup is easy, with a single USB connection to your computer.

Five-speaker systems are great for home theater, but not so sensible for your laptop or PC entertainment. Yet without a way to get the most from those 5.1 games and movie soundtracks, you're missing much of the fun.

Our exclusive TrueSpace® surround digital processing circuitry spreads the sound around you, so the enveloping effects seem to come from areas where there aren't even any speakers. The experience is developed especially for computer listening—putting you right in the middle of the music, the game, the special effects.

  • go check out my unboxing please! thank you!

  • @tommyang123. To turn it off . You touch the control pad which supplied along with it, gently touching once will mute and touching and holding will switch power off to speakers, any way it has auto switch off function and it will power off the entire unit if u don't play for a specific amount of time. But if u need to power down the entire unit . Just use your wall switch LOL.

  • @tommyang123 read manual

  • i bought this speaker , i have a question how do you turn it off, with out unplugging the plug in the wall?

  • if u say u were 12 when u made this vid youde be my age now?

  • @joeking342 bose usually sets their crossovers to 50 hz because the woofers and amp cannot go lower without distorting majorly

  • @EASTYJAZ34 wow, sorry dude, I must of hit a sensitive point, im not arguing with you! the comment was more of a bit of education to all the people that watch/post these sort of video. I am also a audio enthusiasts in fact im an audio and visual effects technician. an im know that everyone have a opinion its just that all speakers have different functions. I do not know why Bose set there crossovers at 50hz but im sure they have a reason, why not ask them?

  • @joeking342 ok first of all, i do not own edifier i own klipsch, dtx, sony and polk audio. yes the system is fucking huge. bose asks too much for their systems and let me tell u that from an audio enthusiasts point of view. another thing is bose subwoofers also have the capability of going low and deep, but they set their crossover frequencies to 50 hz. yes i understand its for a desktop/ laptop set up but id still rather go for the edifier since it uses 2 way satellite speakers+crossover

  • @EASTYJAZ34 first of all, your edifier s550 5.1 system is probably a great system but its huge! Bose aim this product at people wanting great sound in a room not that big, e.g. an office/bedroom.to run a 5.1 surround sound system you need the correct amount of room so that all the speakers are correctly placed around the room so that the sound can blend , so you can get the full experience of the music/video or game. read the next post please.
