WTHR Analog Sign-off (6/12/2009)

At 12:37 AM June 12, 2009, after 51 years and nine months of analog broadcasting on channel 13, WTHR bid adios to its analog signal and at 1:00 PM later that day moved its digital channel from channel 46 to 13.

I submitted this to the JawToons web site (for those who want to see the SD version), which was featured on that site for the week of July 18, 2009.

WCMH (ex-WLWC) has always been a strong number two in Columbus, as has WDTN (ex-WLWD) in Dayton. WLWT is the weakest station in Cincinnati and has been for a long time. WTHR (ex-WLWI) used to be the weakest station but is the strongest in its market. You have to hand it to the Wolfes - they stink at radio, but they know how to run TV stations.
