Objectors to Jesus' legitimacy fail to point out Eusebius as well. Plus, if Jesus was really so peaceful why did he claim to bring spiritual warfare? And what of his resurrection, any objections to that? Pretty hard to defend theories of how the body suddenly disappeared in the face of Roman guard and skeptical authorities who sealed his tomb personally.

All the people who you mentioned born 50 or 150 years after jesus was meant to be crucified how did they know jesus was real? and in the bible most of the acconts of jesus call him christ meaning "the anointed one"that could be anyone and most of the jews at the time did not believe he was real "thats why there are still jews"the best idea is he was a composite of storys from greek and egyptian and trible roots at the time just like all the other religions.

The story of Jesus predates Christianity by at least 3000 years. Numerous gods in different cultures were "born on Dec 25, dead for three days, and resurrected". It's the same ancient story of the sun changing from winter to summer. An almost identical story exists among the Aztecs about their sun god, as well as among the Japanese, the Greeks, the Romans, the Egyptians and many others.

Evidence for the historic Jesus is feeble
No direct vitnesses that can be cheked, Only shaky 2 hand testimony some 30 years after he is supposed to have died. That is the facts
It does not mean that he was not real, it jmeans that there is no point in making any argument based on a historical Jesus. He could be a complete fabrication.
But more likely is that he did exist and the storys about him is just a case of a feater turning into 10 chickings.
That is what it should say in history books !

About Jesus Christ only did Dr. Dawkins elogiozinho one and the same being a reference in the planet as an atheist, a philanthropist and a man of character because their company pays taxes of course reflected in the four corners of the earth I would say that up to the edge of the same * ( the earth has corners, right? haha..). We go to a list of personalities which Dr. Dawkins includes Jesus Christ.

Save staff, Dr. Dawkins's greatest sin is to walk on their own feet, be honest and nothing hypocritical that is, he does not worship a god Onitudo and then will look for the sciences, medicine (cientologia. ..) that he has as a principle 100% and believe that neither God nor nothing beats scientific knowledge (parabens), no need to clarify here that 100% of those who trust God in any * do it on trickery are ultimately the ones who look for example medicine, very clever heimm !

Seems you Dawkins fanboys are so desperate for his incredibly poor argumentation to be true and correct that you'll reject what you know professional historians will tell you and aim childish invectives at this video. For people who like to paint Christians with a lunatic brush, your petulant irrationality and your enthusiasm for placing greater value on the kinds of speculations that are the province of the unscholarly fringe rather than solid historic information is truly something to behold.

@legion1a Israeli scholars at Tel-Aviv University featured in Nat'l Geographic's "The First Jesus" video affirmed that the nailing had to have been done by nailed professionals.
-
@legion1a I heard they found a similar trove in Dura Europos in Syria. Unfortunately, no crucifixion manuals as far as I know. Was it so hideous that the instructions were not written down? That I find hard to believe, considering Israeli archaeologists found a skeleton with a heel with a nail in it, and its opposite heel with a hole in it. The nails were place to inflict maximum pain and minimum bloodshed because the area nailed had many nerves and few blood vessels.
Jesus did exist!
Because he was not God's Son, he was insane.
The Romans did not care about differences in theology, so he needed to find a way to get himself crucified, so people would think he died for our sins.
He also rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, to fulfill Old Testament prophecy.
He turned over the Money Changers tables, which was contrary to his non-violent teachings.
But that was the crime the Romans would crucify him for.
In our time, we would say that Jesus committed suicide by cop.

None of the people you mentioned were alive when Jesus was.
Flavius Josephus' mention of Jesus are suspected to be forged. Even if they weren't he wasn't born until well after Jesus had already died and "ascended".
Apparently, the things that Jesus accomplished were not notable during his lifetime. It only dawned on people to write about them some 40+ years after he was already gone.
This speaks very strongly against his execution of miracles.
