Regner 'Max' first steaming

Soon to be renamed 'George' after my grandson.
A very easy kit to build and a wonderful sight on a cold winter's day! :o)
He hit a twig at the end and derailed. A twig to him is about the size of a tree trunk to us!

Looks great but runs a bit fast for my taste - is there any means of slowing it down?

@sleepyrider Hi. Yes, there's a steam regulator.  I had it open a bit too much on this first run and I agree, it was running a bit fast. Cheers.

@tacfoley Yes you can. But you need to either go to a large 'Millets' store or you buy in bulk from any of the many catering suppliers. It's very cheap if you buy from the caterers - 72 cans to £49... but who wants 72 cans? :o)

I think I'm going to try Mamod tablets fuel and see how they go.

Kaaaay. So it's NOT cute, but it's very, uh, steamy. How's that? What do you call the fule in UK, Rod wants to know....

@tacfoley Hi tac, I've been told to use stuff called 'Sterno'. It's used in camping stoves and chafing dishes. I haven't got any yet so can't say for certain if it works.
