  • Retroware TV, you shouldn't insult the intelligence of your audience. I would be willing to beat that the majority of those who watch your videos are retro gamers who grew up with these sorts of games and not 13 year olds who love halo. You do an exellent job, just have a little faith in what your people know.

  • Actually we have a TON of viewers that are that young. The whole youngens line wasn't meant as an insult at all. We have tons of faith in our viewers. We know if we ever give the wrong info that they would be the first to call us out on it hehe. We apologize if anyone was insulted it TOTALLY wasn't meant that way.

  • this game really made a good port on lynx and that volcano looks way better on lynx

  • The Tanks don't fire faster as you progress. My high score is 700,000 and the speed is exactly the same.

  • never thought about how many greasy forheads touched the view screen when i was a kid...i just played....i think i needed a stool to play it though...i was only 8.

  • Not sure if you actually realize this but most games these days still use vecter graphics. Any real time 3D game uses vecter graphics. They just use a LOT more polygons, textureing and other graphical tricks, like bumb-maping, to make them look better.

The controlls work pretty similar to those tank games? Umm.....Arn't they baced off of the PC WASD+mouse combo?

  • See also the Game Boy game simply called "X" (or "Ekkusu", if you can't easily find it), and its upcoming DSiWare sequel, "X-Scape".

  • I used to play Battlezone a lot buring the 80's in our local pub. I never did reach those distant mountains ;-)

I had a bizzare technique of shooting whilst reversing, hoping I wouldn't bump into those pyramid structures.

People used to laugh at me because I used swing and hang off those those two controls. I must have been a strange sight to behold! :-)

  • it was also released for the gb.

  • Never saw the tank game arcade machine, but I really loved that sub game at my local fun park, which had a small arcade hall.
