Be it Male or Females,i certainly do believe they HAVE to go through an audition to join the orchestra. It is then up to their abilities to qualify into an orchestra,especially one with a name and standard to uphold. If one has the capabilities,be it male or female,i'm sure they WILL be admitted into the orchestra formally.(Unless for other reasons,such as criminal records,own personal issues like family and such) . Correct me if i'm wrong
