http://systemablog.blog.com Systema Military oriented drills. move with less effort so you can pay attention to your surroundings and move with less noise signature. Climbing up and down with awareness to body mechanics and breath control. It is your breath which gives you life. Allow it to guide you.
Points:
1. let the breath (inhale, exhale) precede the movement when possible and when running sync them together for better awareness to your oxygen needs so you can modify on approach to a sprint or work to relax before a precision shot.
2. Do the work with the least amount of effort: you take the tension from the leg and move it from the body and hip so there is less effort but the result is the same advance but without unnecessary bracing and impact.
3. Our bodies can work bent and hunched but we get more work and signal awareness when we are aligned and our breathing is smooth and our sight is free. Avoid pushing through the pain with the same movement. Relax and see the solution you already have.

  • Interesting ... something new to work on! Thank you!

  • First I thought, serious he's talking about walking up a tree LOL

But then I realised the importace. Yes I do a type of walk training like this I learnt it from Tai Chi, it's great because you can take a bit of a hit and move because your legs aren't tense. I don't think that fact was mentioned but it was all part of the same benifit that type of walk gives.

  • Excellent work my friend, but then all your videos good.Every time I sit here and watch a few,I always pick up something new to try.I kind of like to think your my long distance teacher. If thats ok with you?Keep going, and I'll keep learning. Thanks.

  • What a great lesson! Simple in concept, yes. But challenging to integrate. Thanks for what you do.
