@XxmonstahobgobxX I think your right when comparing a CRF's single and dual systems. The single has more power. But when the comparison is between my stock XR system and the CRF twins — the dual pipes win hands down. The system produces higher exhaust velocity resulting in better low end torque. And it also has higher exhaust volume resulting in more top end power. :) Plus as you said, it looks badass.

b) Research exhaust velocity and exhaust volume.

this is funny. My crf250r has the dual exaust (its an 06) and its wayyy louder. But they are way different bikes i guess.

the different holes are due to the extra length of the lhs pipe compared to the rhs.
