@vestner Come on, you must be kidding about Django :) He is the only European jazz guitarist who influenced the jazz musicians in the states and also don't forget that his left hand wasn't 100% healthy.
It is true that nowadays with his technique wouldn't be a virtuoso but those were the early 1900s.
And of course Grappelli is an absolute master of his violin and adds a high value to this music :)



Django and Grappelli together are amazing they are both equally talented musicians. one is not better than the other. they are like peanut butter and jelly.

Not that Django isn't an amazing guitarist and take away from his glory, but Grappelli's violin work is what makes this music so beautiful imho.
