This is really good advice and the sharing stuff is great too, Nelsova lives on as do all who share their wonderful talents with others.

@exoskel I am a huge fan of Zara Nelsova. I have one of her bows actually, a beautiful, heavy, ivory/gold mounted stick. That's besides the point. I love hearing her advice trickled down through other great cellists, including my teacher who took over her studio when she passed.
I enjoy your videos, thanks!

Many years ago I played for Zara Nelsova, one of my favorite cellists of all time. She encouraged me to changed the way I used my left hand. She instructed me to try and play on the very tips of my fingers rather then letting those first knuckles collapse. At first I couldn't do it, my knuckles wouldn't stay curved but eventually my fingers and hand strengthened and I was able to keep my fingers curved and stay on the tip of my finger.
