This is a 500kV dead-end tower outside of a sub-station in Northern Virginia that had to be taken down in order for the wire on the new line being built to be pulled into the bays inside the sub. While one tower in the background is being dismantled section at a time, we saw that the safest and most efficient way was to just cut the legs and pull it over using two bull dozers.

  • The tower had a falling out with the ground. They considered the gravity of the situation. The workers were pulling something without getting fired. They tipped the tower because it provided a service.
