In this video, Portland Mayor Sam Adams reads a proclamation that July 2011 is Trek in the Park Month. Recorded at Portland's Woodlawn Park on July 9, 2011.
Trek in the Park plays every weekend in July. If you get a chance, go a couple of hours early and get yourself a choice seat. You won't regret it!
The proclamation is following by the opening scene of Atomics Arts production of "Mirror, Mirror" a Star Trek original serices episode where Kirk and his landing party visit an alternate universe where the Enterprise is an instrument of tyranny.
