@jmak2268 Love the film, so nostalgic for me. I watched it while on vacation at the Oregon coast six or so years ago (I was 14 at the time) and the movie's atmosphere creeped me out majorly. I love '80s horror and slasher movies and this is truly a gem of the era. Any idea when Code Red is releasing the DVD? Heard they were shutting down but apparently not anymore(?) I have the old New World Video VHS of the movie but, as you know, it's low quality. Can't wait to see a decent transfer!

Ghostkeeper will now be re-issued around the end of February, copied from a good 35mm print which makes it so much clearer and better. Best way to keep in touch as I can't seem to contact anyone in this forum, is to go to my blog at myfilmproject09.blogspot.com

There are some VHS copies I've seen on Amazon, but considering that the last VHS copies were made almost 25 years ago, you're gonna get a pretty bad copy. The re-release was made from a 35mm print in June 2011 and is far superior.

Hi, I'm Jim Makichuk, I wrote and directed Ghostkeeper. We finished a commentary and a great extra with Georgie Collins who played the old lady, she's 86 now! DVD was made from a 35mm print, far better than the bad VHS tapes hanging around. It will be out in early 2012, either Feb or January.

Code Red was trouble, 2 brothers split into 2 companies, and Code Red is now Bill Olsen while his brother has another company. Bill found 2 35mm prints, which I never knew existed. I wrote and directed it. We're gonna do commentary and other "extras" and it should be released by late summer. I finished the screenplay for Ghostkeeper 2 and we're looking to film with original cast and location Nov/2011. All this after 30 years, can't believe it!

FYI, this film was made in 1980 and has gathered a small following that has led to it's re-release later this year (2011) and the possibility of a remake.
