and for those of you tuning in from Uzbekistan, the commentator (3:10) is actually Australian, who obviously aren't the only people who do so stupid comment.

The history of the Arc would be very different indeed if every race had only had 10 runners in it. Some great horses failed to win it because some right old duffers got in the way at the vital moment. Nijinsky would have won a 10 horse race no bother. And was it not Murtagh who got criticised for losing on Ouija Board? She got baulked just as she was picking up, and lost momentum.

A lot of very good horses around the era of 2000-2001 in Europe. Giant's Causeway, Sakhee, and Galileo. But this colt may have been as good as any of them. Only beaten one time in his career in the Ballysax Stakes. But wins in the National Stakes, Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial, Epsom Derby, Irish Derby, Prix Niel, and Prix De l' Arc De Triomphe. I personally think only Giant's Causeway's 6 G1 wins, and 3 G1's he ran 2nd in rival Sinndar's 4 G1 wins, and only one career loss. JMO.
