I grew up in a Jewish home and will never forget the day I came home and found my father crying listening to Mahalia sing this song. I will never forget it. Nor will I ever forget our conversation that ensued regarding race, inequality and how we must always fight together against hatred and racism. A blessing, both my dad and Mahalia. love to all.

This song makes me reflect on my own life. Through Agent Orange and subsequently CHF, diabetes, HBP and the loss of my right leg and recently eye surgery. Doing welll. Blurry rt eye, little pain. But back in the saddle. God keeps carrying me through. And I praise him.
