I have been researching for a new camera in addition to my old one (HP). even the video u show here have lost a lot of detail, but the moon is far far away, it really is not too bad at all, what kind of camera do u have for this?

Sorry, missed your comment. This was filmed with the Sony HDR-SR12, I rendered this video to mpeg2 and not at the best quality, the raw files the camera produces for some reason don't work with youtube, so I have the convert them, still trying to figure out the best settings for that one.
