The apparatus being used in this performance is not a Russian Barre but is a Korean Plank. The Russian Barre is a single circular tube approximately 2 inches in diameter. and is supported in the hands. The Plank is about six inches wide, has a flat landing surface is made up of three longer and more flexible poles bound together by a similar method as the upper and lower portions of a teeterboard., and is supported by the porters on the shoulders. You cannot compare the three,

Did you not see that the bar flexes??? It is bouncy, not solid like a beam. And, no, the bar isnt as wide as a beam either. It takes a HUGE amount of precision to land on a pole. Also, ones technique must be perfect.Comparing this to balance beam is rather silly though; one is a sport and one is an art. Apples and oranges.
