Aquino attends oath-taking of new members of Liberal Party in Negros Occidental

TALISAY CITY, Negros Occidental: President Benigno S. Aquino III cited the ideologies being employed and inculcated in every member of the Liberal Party (LP) which include always taking into consideration the interest of others rather than one's self, pursuing inclusive progress through cooperation and making things happen with the help of the Lord Almighty.

In his speech during the Oath-taking of the New Members of the Liberal Party (LP) and Basic Orientation on Liberal Democratic for Negros Occidental at the Nature's Village Resort, here, President Aquino encouraged the newly-sworn in LP members to live by the LP ideologies and focus on pursuing change towards sustainable progress and development.

He assured that the Aquino administration will continue to focus on effecting reforms that will make better the lives of the next and future generations of Filipinos.

The Chief Executive noted the importance of perseverance and the help and guidance of the Divine Creator in efforts to realize better standards of living for the people.

"Kung sumasama kayo dito (LP) dahil ayaw ninyo yung kasalukuyang dinatnan natin, palagay nyo talagang may nagbabago dito ... magsama tayo. at habang nagtutulong tayo ...baka yung susunod na henerasyon mas kaunti ang sakripisyo... at yung susunod dun mas kaunti pa hanggang dumating na ho tayo sa dapat kalagyan natin bilang isang sambayanan, bilang isang lahi," President Aquino said.

Upon his arrival, the President was welcomed by Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo "Freddie" Maranon Jr., Negros Occidental District 2 Representative Alfredo Abelardo "Albee" Benitez, Talisay City Mayor Eric "Doc Eric" Saratan and other local officials.
