@skillywilly187 If you're going to use the Hauppauge to record then you have to use the component cables, because it doesn't have an HDMI plug. But if you want to record in HDMI then you'll want to get the Black Magic Intensity Pro. I've never used Black Magic so I don't know how it works exactly.

Mine's off by 1 damn second! Can it be fixed?

@ihopeutubedies There is gonna be lag in the recording program. If you were intending to play off of your computer screen, you really won't be able to unless you can play with a 1 second lag. You'll have to play off of your TV.

@DarkAffliction6 I play off my TV. And when I stop recording and watch the video it's really laggy too. Do I just need a faster computer?

@ihopeutubedies Yeah It may be your computer, it might not be able to handle 1080i sufficiently. What kind of computer do you have?

@DarkAffliction6 It's actually a laptop. An HP Pavillion dv2000. With Windows7. Do you think if I add more RAM to the laptop that it'll make it faster??? I know the laptop will be faster but I mean will that help the recording be faster?

@ihopeutubedies Yeah, it might. 1GB of RAM isn't that great.
