Use Sugarsync or Dropbox. They are free. Box sync is not.

UPDATE: Didn't know they had an iPhone app! Cool. But still prefer a menu bar app over a desktop folder.

I wouldn't find this useful. I happen to HATE things on my desktop. I keep it clean and clear of annoying folders and files. Why not a menu bar item for mac users? If Box.net offers a menu bar app and an iPhone app, I'd switch because I HATE Dropbox's UI, it's ugly.

@athiwatc you can preview and edit files in your Dropbox on the web and on your iPhone.
