Check your timing, you may be off a tooth on your distributor.

my problem is the darn thing start's fine run's for a good ten minute's and completely shuts down and when she's cold if i mash the gas there's this squeal coming from the carb or injector's not sure... it's not the fuel pump i don't think, reason being i can hear it humming when i turn the key! i change the gas line filter that wasn't it... do i need a new carb or injector's ?need help....any one please!

they used this baby as the engine in the 1989 batmobile

The engine I chose to power my '41 Chev p/u is out of a '78 C20 van. I put the premium higher tin/nickle block to good use. Next to the cross-bolted variety, it's the best I have used, good stroker block.

tbi is a great fuel injection system though. they are very easy to work and deliver better fuel economy and drive-ability than a carb. i own a 1989 camaro with a 305 and a 91 cavalier with a 2.2 tbi. both have been great cars and give me far fewer problems than more "modern" cars.
is that water i see leaking out on the valve cover?!?

No, I see what you mean; it has got something to do with the video or the program I used for editing it. Would be weird if it leaked like that, right? =)

i miss vans like these. my dad had a 1981 for ecoline line6 engine. not sure what size it was. but it was a great van. it would have still be running if i had it this day. but the axle snapped. lot of miles were put onto it and the oil wasnt changed like it was suppose to. nice van man.

Maintaining cars like this is so much easier, that's why I prefer to have cars untill the end 70's.
I'm sure more people think the same about it.

You want to switch from TBI to carburator or so, 'cause currently you got no carburator on it. You can change everything, but not worth the time I think.
