Martin Scorsese spends the night drinking with a gun on an abandoned film set where he contemplates the murder of the studio head who is forcing him to cut the end of his masterpiece "Taxi Driver." Based on the infamous Scorsese rumor.

  • @samsdayfuss oh dude i totally understand, i was just mentioning it, are you working on anything else? do you go to any film schools?

  • @stickfa93 I graduated filmschool in Hollywood. I'm in preproduction for my debute feature and trying to obtain some investors.

  • you kind of have the story a lil mixed up, he and the producer HATED each other, amd he only had mean streets and a box car bertha, and alice doesnt live here anymore out at the time so how could de palma be in his shadow, regardless of the fact that he is way better nowadays, but overall its pretty cool dude the cinematography and lighting was sweet, i'd love to see some more stuff

  • @stickfa93 Hey, thank you! I understand that De Palma had more work out than Scorsese at the time, but with how much praise his first couple films were generating I thought it would be safe to create a fictional jealousy in De Palma who at the time had made, what people thought were Hitchcock-rip-offs. It is a fictionalized version of De Palma and he and Scorsese are great friends in real life.

  • hi!, you made and increible video!, i am from ecuador and my favorite director is scorsese, when i saw your video i like a lot, i remeber that rumor was amazing!!!, if you need someday an actor in south america i will glad work with you! :)

  • this is excellent

  • Cheese?

  • A shame to see that these kind of quality videos don't get the amount of views they deserve. Really great short film, although I think that the super dramatic violin build-up sounds could have ended less abruptly, but maybe that's the style you wanted to go for...

  • Marty was a MAJOR COKE HEAD back in those days and everyone knows that. I think whoever made this should've dabbled into that a little bit.
