Ofra was a strong woman, spiritually, mentally. Her family wanted her to marry. They pressured her. She gave in. To a controlling jerk. Amd now look, her family, her fans; we have no Ofra Haza to sing to us!

@LadyCadbury If one is born that way, I'd like to see you say that to those who have left the lifestyle and admit they HAD chosen it. It is the same thing with transsexuals/transgenders. A really great book I would recommend for you is "Paper Faces" - it talks about a person who left the transgender lifestyle.

@EmilyGreene1984: Homophobic much? Being LGBT isn't a "practice," one is born that way. Nobody chooses to be LGBT, did you choose to be straight? No, you were born that way. Ofra got the disease from her husband, he had it since the early 1990s.

לסיכום שאנו רואים מה קורה היום ללא מעט אומנים שמסתבכים בצרות, ומסיימים בטראגדיה את הקריירה בחיים

חלקם הלא קטן, בצד שני, זה המחיר שמשלמים אנשים מפורסמים הם חשופים להרבה סכנות אפילו קלות יותר

כמו שרואים כעת את נפילתה של מרגול, מבחוץ זה נראה חיי זוהר, אך מבפנים זה לגמרי הפוך, אז לא מומלץ לשאוף

להגיע לקריירה של זמר, כי אח"כ שרואים את התוצאות אז מה יצא מזה?עפרה השאירה מורשת יפה אחריה, אך לזכור ולהבין שחייבים מאוד להיזהר.

לפני שנה הייתי בבית הקברות " ירקון " ועברתי ליד הקבר שלה .

ראיתי ש-מישהו מחק את השם : " אשכנזי " מעל המצבה שלה .

כניראה שהיה משהו בבעלה שבגללו היא נפטרה .

זה בדיעבד, חבל שאמרגנה לא הכיר לה מישהו, במקום שייפול עליה איש לא ישר שההפך הגמור ממנה, כפי שראיתי באתר הזכרון שלה הוא ניסה להזהיר אותה ומשפחתה מפני האיש שלא תנשא לו, משפחתה אוכלת את ידיה שהסכימה שהוא התחתן איתה עד היום הזה, אז בשביל מה הפילה?, זה הרס אותה נפשית וגם בריאותית.

השמעות אומרות ש-האמרגן שלה לא נתן לה למצוא גבר  ולהיתחתן איתו .

שמעתי עוד שמועה שאומרת שהיא ניכנסה להריון ואחר כך הפילה .

The website has its English version now. It is not so rich as its Hebrew version, there are no translation of her interview etc. but I guess it can satisfied English speakers....

Ofra Haza is immortal. She's gone, but left us her voice.That will sound in our ears and minds as long as we live. A pity that she left us so early, at the age of 40. We could have had more sweet songs in her marvellous voice.

It's just a few weeks ago that I discovered her on internet. I immediately fell in love on her voice.I don't understand a single word Hebrew, so imagine that simply adorate her voice.

Ofra was absolutely perfection. She will live in our hearts till we alive and afterwards.

And it's very pitty that website ofra.haza.co.il. only in Hebrew. It's nearly unpossible to find information about her in russian. And I'm sure lots of people will be happy to know more. In Israel many russian speaking people, so mb it will be possible soon to see all those documentary about Ofra at least with russian subtitles.
