m8te maybe you should check into compresion issues cauase my Bosch 12$ glow plugs on 14degree days i cycle them 1 time and turn the key with no foot on the accelertor nothing and it turns on perfect with little i mean little hesitation from the engine
:)

@aaronpourazar the glow plugs are pretty bad...and compression isn't too mint either, since it has a lot of blow by.

what nonsence, even a gasoline engine won't start when you let it sit for 2 weeks in minus weather.
Dosalt 1 month ago
@Dosalt it wasn't too cold but i wasn't surprised that it didn't start

I have three w123 Mercs. I try to run them in turn during our mild Virginia winters. I sometimes run biodiesel in the warmer months and have learned to switch to blends in the winter.. IIRC they also modify regular diesel fuel for the winter with additives to prevent gelling. You sound like you know what you are doing and like myself you probably just have to many cars to run them all like they need to be run ;-) What kind of fun can you have if your toys don't break?

@beatnic50 exactly. I use liquid muscle fuel additive in her, sometimes lol when i don't forget haha after i boosted the battery with my kubota tractor, it started right up an i wish i had the camera going, the smoke was crazy. but ya needs new glow plugs and a new battery
