This wonderful song Tou Erota (ΤΟΥ ΕΡΩΤΑ) evokes the love and reverence due to women. The singer is Pantelis Thalassinos (Παντελής Θαλασσινός).

Sappho (Σαπφώ) was born in the seventh century BC, in the island of Lesbos. Her love of women reflects a deeper love for civilization.

Greek Civilization has always emphasized the refined aspect of women and the Greeks always brought a balance between being feminine and masculine.

  • the fact is that she (Sappho) committed suicide for her love of a man by throwing herself of a cliff on the Ionian island of Lefkas (my place of origin). Of course this part of her story is conveniently omitted by the army of homoerotic fans all over the world. Why ruin a great lie over such a small detail hey?.....

  • @szabisy In ancient greece there was no shame of homosexuality. It was accepted and natural. Not all of them were homosexual but being one didn't cast you out of the society. Although i'm straight i can't stop admiring that. Ancient Hellas will always be in my mind a place filled with white light free of superstitions and demons, where to be worthy was measured by what you did, not whom you made love with

  • They try to dirty everithing was great in ancient world..for exemple you must heared the opinion that all greeks were homosexual..spartans atenians all..somehow I cant beleave it..It couldnt be like that..but if you watch discowery chanel you can find this opinions...

I was hapy to see your video: sparta either with...wher you show how spartan womans loved theyr man...and not "spartan man loved theyr man"(discovery version)

I think many of this intelectuals are themselfs homo thats why thay say

  • "man take feminity from women" and "woman take masculinity from man and than loose themselves and that is how we losse civilization"

I think this is absolutely true...it is very nice sayd

in the presenet there are few societies witch are working we now well about the problems, how mothers leave theyr childrens and parents divorce so childrens dont grow up in balance so they become criminals drunkers and people good for nothing...

  • I think man behavior has nothing to do with culturaly taught, just with our nature, for exemple: if you look at the exemple of the childrens(they dont have culture, it is still undeveloped in them) boys are playing war games and girls are playing with dols...it is theyr nature, it is built within us...

if man try to have femine values that is stupidity its like hunting birds with cannons, it is possible but absolutly ineficient and meaningles, same if woman try to be man

  • I think it is all bcz women lost theyr feminity and took masculinity from man

we dont know what are the limits betwen man and women, woman behave like man and man like women

A society I know well and is working even in present is the indian society, they are wery aware of this things so they never mix woman and man, thay say: water is good, milk is good too..but if you mix them..so we need to keep its purity

I think that's why indian society is working, and ancient spartan society was also same

  • Greco-Buddhism, sometimes spelt Graeco-Buddhism, refers to the cultural syncretism between Hellenistic culture and Buddhism, which developed between the 4th century BCE and the 5th century CE

  • well the technology disadvantage also cumble the empire's last foundation when medieval knight slash through classic legion/hoplite like no men zone. swiss pike and steel axe/hammer smash the classic army into defenseless situation and made them like helpless animal in the slaughterhouse . plus the northern tribe are physically stronger than average roman/greek made them defenseless even in rome's height.

strength speaks the rule and domination.

  • they have their writing system that can push back to 4th century bc. they invented the first horse shoes, first steel plate armor, crossbow had been massively use by norman since roman-gothic campaign(270bc - 605ad). they started a military technology revolution that which would change the world completely. even modern day.

however they are lacked of architecture skill made them look savage and barbaric. but they just shown no interesting on building useless monument like other ancient world.
