Couldn't agree more... this dance is a game between two dancers: as there is no physical contact, they need to find another way to be together. This guy seem to understand that, and there seems to be a good connexion between him and his partner.
As a dancer, I'd rather dance with him than with the girl in the foreground who (even if she seems to be a good dancer) looks... bored. JMO

He understand the purpose of this dance: it's a game with the partner, dancing in "bal folk" must be funny and a good time, life. Myself, I play for "bal folk" and the people who never dance like very much dancing bourree à 2 temps because they find it funny!

Seems to have everything to do with it to me. It's not what you would see on stage by a folklore group, but it's just wonderful in a ball. "des gouts et des couleurs" as they say.
